About Us

Kawaiisu Chapter, NSDAR supports our local schools, both elementary and high school.  In January, we honor a deserving high school senior with the DAR Good Citizens Scholarship program.  We encourage participation in the DAR American History Essay contests for students in grades five through eight.  Every May we give several deserving graduating high school seniors scholarship money to the college of their choice.

We help provide meals for our local veterans.   We also participate in the local Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and Flag Day activities to help promote patriotism and service to our country.

Kawaiisu Chapter, NSDAR, meets the fourth Tuesday of the month January through May and October through December.  Meetings are not held June, July, August and September.

We invite any woman eighteen years of age and older who are descended from a man or woman who aided in achieving American independence during the time frame between April 1775, and November 1783. If you are interested in attending a meeting, please contact the chapter regent for meeting time and location. Or you may contact the chapter registrar for more information regarding eligibility and the application process.
